Youtube Affects To The Indonesian Young Generations

If you look up to the wikipedia, YouTube, LLC is an American video-sharingwebsite headquartered in San Bruno, California. Three former PayPal employees—Chad HurleySteve Chen, and Jawed Karim—created the service in February 2005. YouTube allows users to upload, view, rate, share, add to favorites, report, comment on videos, and subscribe to other users. It offers a wide variety of user-generated and corporate media videos. Available content includes video clipsTV show clips, music videosshort and documentary films, audio recordings, movie trailerslive streams, and other content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos.

So basically, Youtube is one of the biggest site in the internet that everyone, all age, all over the world, can access for free. It obviously affects the users in many ways as possible. But now, I’m gonna talk about how Youtube helps improving teenager’s confidence. Despite hundreds of negativites that the young generations gain from it, Youtube gives a lot of opportunities for the users themselves, which most of them are the young generations.

Based on my internet research and personal experience, A new study shows that Youtube ctually positively impacts the lives of young millennials. 62% of Americans ages 13-24 go on social media just because it makes them feel good. And many of them said they actually have more respect and admiration for YouTube celebrities than they do for the Hollywood variety.

The biggest reasons? Relateability and attainability. As much as we love Harry Styles and Zac Efron, not many teens can relate to the amount of money they earn or the lifestyles they lead. YouTubers, on the other hand, are made up of that wiz kid in your chemistry class, the cute boy next door, and your bestie from 2nd grade. They're average kids doing cool things on the internet and gaining attention for their personality and skills, and that's what's impressing the youth of today. After seeing that they can do it, it's kind of hard not to get that spine-tingling, heart-pumping feeling that you could do it, too—and that kind of motivational boost is hard to beat.
Take Bethany, for example. The 19-year-old YouTube star has over 8 million subscribers, and you can bet that when she recommends a new type of mascara or lipstick, her followers are more than willing to go out and try it out. Teens aren't just watching these vloggers for entertainment, they're also looking up to them for recommendations and advice.
