Living My Best Life For Three Days Straight!

Hello blogger whats good ayeee. So today I’m gonna be telling you all how I lived the best life I’ve ever been in my entire time of breathing. So on January 5th, my school held this program called Bakti Desa where we had to be a villager in a local village with the local people for a few days. Basically the program was about how we had the chance to experience how it feels like to live in a village that is far from the poluted city like the other local people there. 

The village that we visited was Desa Cibereum that is located in Southern of Bandung. The whole village is absolutely stunning. The air is really fresh with a very calming green views here and there. We had to stay in a local house along with the house’s owner and the rest of their family. It was a very amazing experience to live with them. The house wasn’t really spacious, but it was warm and honestly it felt like home. I lived there with Ibu, Bapak, their one daughter and two sons. They are really nice and so welcoming.

On the first day, we went strolling around the village with the local kids there. They took us to a huge tea garden and I often see in a teh kotak commercial lol.  It was pretty, and we got home right before maghrib and Ibu was already cooking our dinner. Her cooking was amaaaaazing. 

 

The next day we went to Situ Cisanti. We rode a truck the locals call dolak. It took us approximately 10 minutes to get there. There was a huge lake, surrounded by a lot of beautiful hills. Ibu brought us lunch from home, I still remember that the lunch was tumis kangkung, goreng pindang, sambel, kerupuk, and nasi anget. For god’s sake she really did know how to spoil us. After lunch, we strolled around until noon. After noon, we had to go back home to clean ourselves up and we had to attend a gardening counseling in the afternoon. In the evening, me and all of my classmates gathered in a TPA nearby to distribute our unused clothes to the local kids. It was really fun to share our time with them.

     

On the last day, me and my friends went to the Citarum river stream. It was a really long walk, it nearly took us an hour or so to get there. We had to pass a lot of gardens, muddy tracks, and so much more but the struggle was really worth it. I got my feet down in the stream with the rest of the girls and the boys decided to take a quick deep in the river. It was really fun.

At the noon, we had to go back home. We had to get ready to go to our real home and I really didn’t want to. I would definitely stay there of the rest of my life if I could. The goodbyes were really hard. I cried, with the kids that I spent most of my time there with. I didn’t wanna leave the lovely place, but I had to. So we went back to Bandung in the afternoon.

It was a very fantastic experience there. If only I could turn back the time!
